我们学生学习英语的机会应该说非常有限的和非常之少的，一方面孩子们有许多功课要学，另一方面许多学生英语课堂效率低下。下面我就以下5点谈谈学习英语要注意的方面。
1.英语课堂学习应该注重课堂学习效果，40分钟非常宝贵且有限，我们力争要在这短短的时间内掌握所有的英语知识。英语当天学习的内容应该当天消化，如果不能及时消化就会积食，造成听课越听越不懂，形成恶性循环!英语学习重在平时，每天做好预习与复习工作。想要靠临时突击，临时抱佛脚的做法不可取也不可行。
我确信：英语要学好和智商无关，学不好英语的人都是懒惰的人。所以，在课后一定要主动抽时间为自己补习英语。学好英语，不外乎就是在听，说，读，写这些方面下功夫。
2.作业一定要按时独立完成，不要成为学习上的“寄生虫”。作业是老师检查了解学生知识掌握情况的一个有效途径，要求同学们能如实客观地对待作业。知之为知之，不知为不知，宁愿独立完成的空几题的作业，也比完全不经过自己大脑思考抄袭来的作业质量高得多。许多同学自觉性差，平时空空两手回家，早上早早赶来抄，每天我都布置了一定的英语作业，因此请各位家长能关注一下你的子女有没有将作业带回家来做，并督促子女认真复习。
3.学习习惯是第一生产力。许多同学英语学习好，并不是他(她)比别人聪明，而是学习习惯比较好。良好的学习习惯可以大大提高你的学习效果，我们班的曾月，刘峻萱，(麦甫屯，张伟伟)同学，她们学习态度端正，上课认真，书写工整，正因为如此，无论什么考试都能取得很好的成绩，这与她平时良好的学习习惯是分不开的!而有些同学你看似认真，却是身在心不在，学习重在表象，完全不扎实，综合素质却没有真正提高。课外也不下功夫，一堂课几个单词，一两个重点句型下节课过来提问一问三不知，又何谈课外扩展与素质提升?这样的现象很普遍，说到底，还是好的习惯没有养成，不够勤奋。另外还有几个同学，他们的潜力很大，但因为还不够认真刻苦，所以没有发挥出自己最好的水平，希望家长能够配合老师，把孩子的成绩抓上去。我坚信：如果您的孩子在您的支持和我的指导下能够及时完成老师布置的任务，那么一定能学好。要教导您的孩子一开始就要有吃苦耐劳的精神。坚持严谨的学习作风，成绩马上就会见效。

4.英语学习贵在坚持!就好像跑步运动，英语学习之初大家都从同一个起跑线出发，但随着难度加深与词汇量加大，一些同学慢慢对英语失去新鲜感续而厌烦最后掉队。希望我们家长对子女多一份关爱，督促子女奋发图强，初三一年大有提高的余地!英语偏科是历史原因造成的，但并不是不可根治的，想要证明自己真正有实力那就从偏科的英语入手，重点突破!
5.树立正确的英语学习观与知识观!许多学生和家长认为英语学习了没有多大用处，我又不会出国，学两句皮毛可以炫耀就好了，何必学精通?且不说英语作为一种工具，它对于我们升学、工作、求职有重大意义，同时我认为学习英语的过程也是一个吸收别人长处，观念更新的过程!知识是无价的，知识可以改变命运。

九年级是初中阶段学生学习的一个重要转折点，并且新添了化学这门学科，学生的成绩分化相对于七八年级也进一步加大。可以说九年级这一年将基本决定一个学生在学习、升学方面的前途命运。九年级的每一位教师也都深知责任重大，都在千方百计把教育学生的工作做好，力争在这一年里能使学生的成绩有更大的进步。
今天我谈话的主题，一是和家长们谈谈我们班学生平时的英语学习情况。二是我代表九年级二班各任课教师和家长们探讨今后学生的教育问题，特别是毕业班的学生应当注意的一些问题，给大家一些建议。
从期中考试的成绩和平时的表现来看，学生大部分都表现不错，跟平时相差不大，发挥较正常，个别学生进步很明显，当然在大部分同学进步的同时，有少数同学除了英语学习的兴趣还需提高外，主要的原因就在于不肯在英语的读记上下功夫，说简单一点就是还有些偷懒的思想，对自己的学习很不够负责。再就是有些学生学习自觉性还存在一些问题。认为自己的成绩不理想，反正也学不好了，因此就缺乏动力，没有时间紧迫感，甚至自暴自弃，从而上课就不专心听讲，作业马虎甚至抄袭。自觉学习是很重要的，因为只有这样才能进步的更快。部分同学上课有小动作、交头接耳的不良习惯，还有就是上课走神，听课的效果不好，对学习影响极大。课堂是学习的主阵地，不把握好，就没有进步的可能。如果学生注意力不集中，不但影响自己还影响到老师的情绪，甚至打断老师的讲课。最突出的问题就是有些学生偏科严重，五门课当中有两门甚至三门比较优秀，剩下的一到两门功课差距很大，尤其是英语这门学科更需要引起足够的重视，同时也希望各位家长能给予配合教育。
基于以上情况，在这里，我向各位家长提几点建议，请家长结合自己子女的情况进行有针对性地教育。
第一，树立正确的观念，认真监控孩子的行为。很多家长并不十分关注孩子学习习惯的培养，不关注孩子完成家庭作业的情况。特别是一些隔辈的爷爷奶奶，对孩子的关注只停留在“吃饱穿暖，高高兴兴”这一初级阶段，对其他问题不闻不问。另外，很多年轻的父母或忙于工作，或专注于兴趣爱好，有的甚至存在“孩子交给学校和老师，我们不用管了”的错误思想，对孩子“大撒把”。例如，每周的家庭作业我要求家长签字，但是总有一部分学生的作业没签字，试问，家长如此，孩子的家庭作业怎么能按时保质地完成呢?家长所付出的一切，不都是为了孩子吗?如果孩子不上进，甚至“败家”，那您的一切努力只能付之东流。所以，家长们千万要摒弃错误的观念，不能“心慈手软”，要注意监督孩子，注意与学校配合，共同培养学生完成作业的好习惯。
第二，要对自己的子女提出要求，并督促其进步。老师的要求是基于全班的，面对的是全班同学，而你的要求是针对你的子女一个人的。虽然说“一日为师终身为父”，这其实是从对老师的尊敬角度说的，有缘教育你的子女，是我们的荣幸，但我们最多只能给予三年的教育，而你却是子女的终身老师，你的要求对子女是长期的，有人说，父母的心有多高，他的孩子就能飞得多高。虽然说得有些片面，但也不乏有些道理。没有对子女提出要求的家长是个最不懂得使用家长权利的家长，换言之，也是一个不负责任的家长。在初中阶段，正是孩子不断成长开始懂事的阶段，这个时期的家长要求对子女的促进作用会更大。
第三，关注孩子的心理变化。孩子虽然大部分时间在学校里，但不是说你就没有可以关注孩子的可能了。其实，这恰恰说明，在周末回家的时候，你要多跟孩子交流。各位家长请你仔细回想一下，孩子周末回家的时候，你除了要求他及时完成作业之外，还跟孩子仔细的或心平气和的交谈过没有，如果没有的话，就是没有深入了解孩子，这种做法是不对的，因为对孩子的成长及其不利。
第四，多跟老师做交流。家长把子女送到我们这里来以后，大多自己忙于工作无暇顾及孩子的其他方面，这点我们理解。可是教育孩子单由学校老师承担，不说老师承担得了还是承担不了，其实这样的教育是完全有缺陷的。没有家长和家庭参与的教育是不能教育好孩子的。只有家庭和学校甚至社会的共同参与，才能有较好的教育成效。我们可能不大了解你们家里的状况，做学生的思想工作的时候就没有针对性，你们可能不大了解学校里的教育以及孩子在校的情况，教育孩子也就没有针对性。老师不可能经常跟全班的家长进行联系，只有家长在适当的时间打电话或者到学校里跟老师作交流，才能及时了解孩子的在校各方面的表现。
但令人遗憾的是，我们班的家长在这一点上做得不够。开学到现在，能跟我们老师进行主动联系的家长不多，这其实已经影响了我们孩子的学习成长。鉴于我的这些分析，你还会对你孩子的学习成长漠不关心吗?你还会让孩子坐吃山空吗?请大家在会后好好思考。我的讲话到此为止，会后家长朋友们如果需要详细了解你的孩子的英语方面的情况，可以来找我。
